Crepe Myrtle Bonsai

crepe myrtle bonsai
need info on bonsai or crepe myrtle?

Any tips for a crepe myrtle bonsai? I’m in zone8/9 boarder. Anything helps(links, experience, stories) and how much do you sell them for? It will be about 1-2 feet, its red, nothing fancy on the pot, and I’m still debating on the shape. It’s my first one, and I’m getting a lot of books and stuff…Thanks!

Bonsai is not my strong suit but i do know about Crape Myrtles. The best varieties to use for a Small Bonsai are a group called Dixie series, They must have been deleveloped in Louisiana because the all have names assosated with that part of the country and are a true gentic dwarf not growing over 3 feet untrimmed. ‘Baton Rouge” is one variety that is a good strong plant with bright red blooms
